2016 – 2017 Health & Safety Policy Statement

The following is a statement that has been prepared by the Company in respect of the requirements of section 2(3) of the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 and the relevant provisions of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999.

STATEMENT OF COMPANY POLICY FOR HEALTH, SAFETY & WELFARE

It is the Company’s intention that work will be carried out in accordance with the relevant Statutory Provisions and all reasonably practicable measures taken to avoid risk to its employees or others who may be affected.
Management and supervisory staff have the responsibility for implementing this Policy throughout the Company and must ensure that Health & Safety considerations are always given priority in planning and day-to-day supervision of work.
All Employees and Sub-contractors are expected to co-operate with the Company in carrying out this Policy and must ensure that their own work, so far as is reasonably practicable, is carried out without risk to themselves or others.
The Board of Directors have appointed Mr Colin Whitehead, as having particular responsibility for Health, Safety and Welfare and to whom reference should be made in the event of any difficulty arising in the implementation of this Policy.
The operation of this Policy will be monitored by the management and staff of the Company. To assist them in this respect, the Company have appointed Bradley Environmental Consultants Ltd. as its Safety Advisers in accordance with Regulation 7 of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations (1999), to give advice on the requirements of the relevant statutory provisions and safety matters generally.
The Statement of Company Policy will be displayed prominently at all sites and workplaces. The organisation and arrangements for implementing the Policy will also be available at each site and workplace for reference by any employees as required. The Company Health and Safety Policy Manual will be reviewed on an annual basis, or following a major change in legislation or the company organisation, and updated accordingly

2017 Environmental Policy Statement

Insulation Contracting Services Ltd. (ICS) recognises the importance of environmental protection and are committed to operating our business responsibly and in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements relating to the provision of our Asbestos Removal Services.
It is our declared policy to operate with and to maintain good relations with all regulatory bodies.
Our aim is to carry out all measures reasonably practicable to meet, exceed or develop all necessary or desirable requirements and to strive to continually improve environmental performance through the following:-
  • Review our environmental aspects and impact annually as a minimum.
  • Train all employees in environmental issues at induction and as necessary thereafter
  • Minimise the production or waste
  • Minimise material wastage
  • Minimise energy usage
  • promote the use of recycling, recyclable and renewable materials
  • Reduce and/or limit the production of pollutants to water, land and air
  • Control noise emissions from operations
  • Minimise the risk to the general public and employee from operation and activities undertaken by ICS.

This statement is set and regularly reviewed for continuing suitability at our Management Review meetings.

Insulation Contracting Services Ltd. has implemented a Quality Management System which conforms to the requirements of the international standard ISO9001:2008 as a minimum.
Our Quality Management System is used to demonstrate our ability to consistently provide a service that meets customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
Our Directors ensure that Quality Objectives, consistent with this Quality Policy are established and reviewed to determine the effectiveness of the Quality Management System. We are committed to continually improve the effectiveness of the Quality Management System.

  • Manage the transition to ISO9001:2015 before September 2018
Our Quality Policy, relevant Quality Objectives, procedures, responsibilities and authorities are communicated to, and understood by, all employees. All employees are responsible for the quality of their own work and are committed to the effective operation of the Quality Management System.
The Quality Policy and Objectives are set and regularly reviewed for continuing suitability at our Management Review meetings.
